Manthan Services (Bangalore)
Manthan Services is one of the largest legal services companies in India, serving the U.S. and the U.K. It employs 140 people, including 80 attorneys, and provides low-volume services including patent drafting, as well as high-volume services such as document review and case management.

CEO Atul Jalan has 15 years experience in the offshore-services industry; he was previously the founder of Netkraft, a 600-person technology-services firm acquired by the U.S. firm Adea. Gururaj Pontis, Director of Legal Services, earned a Masters in technology from IIT Delhi and a Masters in business management from IIM Calcutta. Mohit Kataria, Director of Research and Analysis, earned an engineering degree from IIT Delhi and a Masters in business management from IIM Calcutta. Prior to working at Manthan, Gururaj and Mohit co-founded Erasmic Consulting, an offshore advisory firm.

QuisLex (Hyderabad, India)
QuisLex provides legal support services to corporate law departments and law firms in the U.S, and is also a strategic partner for document review work. A staff of well over a dozen attorneys (plus support staff) perform the legal support work in Hyderabad. At the end of its workday, a U.S. law firm, for example, might submit a project to QuisLex staffers, who could complete the project by the start of the next U.S. business day.

CEO Ram Vasudevan lives in New York and works out of QuisLex’s marketing office in New York. He earned his MBA at Cornell University and his law degree from Columbia University. His previous law-firm experience includes three years at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood and four years at Skadden Arps.

COO Sundari Pisupati lives in Hyderabad with her family and works out of the Hyderabad office. She earned her five-year undergrad/law degree at the National Law School of India University (and was valedictorian) as well as a law degree from Columbia University. Her law-firm experience includes five years at Sidley Austin.
